Paul Nevison is a writer/director based in Australia. Filmmaking has taken Paul to over 40 countries where he's climbed to remote Nepalese Monasteries, tamed Black Rhinos, drunk sweet tea in Syrian Refugee camps, been on the trail of drug lords and survived a catastrophic Mexican earthquake, all in a quest to discover the best and worst of the human condition.His latest short film, In Absence, starring Christopher James Baker (Ozark, True Detective) and Jack LaTorre (Runt, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart), won best drama at the UK's Ignite Film Festival, was a Grand Jury Winner at RIFF and has screened at Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festivals internationally. Paul also directed the true crime feature documentary, Evil Good, which recounts the story of Phoenix Vice Detective Victor Escoto as he confronts his own family entangled with Mexican drug cartels on the streets of 2000s Arizona.Paul is developing several scripted features with industry partners in Australia and the UK and a 6 part documentary series, Fire Riders with Emmy nominated Producer Bettina Dalton and Wildbear Entertainment.Paul is also a member of Nicky Weinstock's "Craft Services," a select group of writer/directors who receive mentorship from the seasoned Hollywood producer behind hit projects such as Severance, Escape at Dannemora, and Bridesmaids.Paul has directed international campaigns for brands including Land Rover, University of Sydney, QUT, Thankyou and Suncorp as well as not for profits such as World Vision, A21 and Compassion International.Paul's short form work has been awarded at Cannes Young Director Award, Ciclope, Kinsale Sharks, 1.4 and Gz Doc.
