Adam Hurtig

Adam Hurtig hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba. His interest in performing was less a calling and more an ambush, when his drama teacher shanghaied him into a high school musical. He liked it enough to pursue a theatre education at the University of Manitoba, an experiment that ended quickly but successfully, planting a seed that apparently needed almost no water. From there, Adam took the scenic route: community theatre, which fed the soul and starved the bank account, and indie films, which cost him serving jobs and padded the wallet with IOUs, before eventually landing exactly where he wanted to be, on film and television sets, saying other people's words with conviction. Since then, he's shared the screen with Sean Penn in Flag Day (2021), survived two installments of the Chucky franchise with all his fingers intact (Curse of Chucky, 2013 and Cult of Chucky, 2017), made it through the Arctic with Liam Neeson in The Ice Road (2021), traded quips with Bob Odenkirk in Nobody 2 (2025), and got roughed up alongside Ke Huy Quan in Love Hurts (2025). He also won Best Actor for his role in the feature film Melaleuca (2024), playing a sociopath so convincingly it feels like second nature. Adam calls this range. Others call it evidence. When he's not on set, Adam channels the same energy into interior design, carpentry, gardening, writing, and coaching the next generation of actors, all while insisting that marathon training counts as a hobby and not a personality disorder.
